Issue #3: January

New Year; Same Us.

It’s all here. Opinion pieces on New Year, New Me. Thoughts on the cultural in’s and out’s of 2024. A deep dive into grading, another into cafeteria food. An examination of our country’s mistreatment and misdiagnosis of people of color. Beautiful profiles of fellow students, and a profile of one very beloved Principal. A series of pieces on the effects of social media. And, right before we launch into Black History Month — a special, curated section on blackness featuring voices of students and staff. What more could you want? We are The Python Post. It’s a new year, and we’re still here.

Black History Month: A Python Post Special Section

In this month's special section, we wanted to feature everything that is Black, and we wanted to show the value of being Black. We are honored to have faculty and students of Comp Sci High express the ways in which Blackness is centered and prioritized within their life. We worked closely with Destiny Francis, Ms. McNair, Toure Parker, and Mr. Mosley. We acknowledge the importance of having the ability to be expressive in any space you are in. So we asked one question to all our writers: What value does being Black hold to you?
